3072、“愿她就是你为你仆人以撒所选定的那一位”表示为神性的真理与神性良善在理性心智中的结合。这从“选定”的含义和“以撒”的代表清楚可知:“选定”,也就是说,选定为女人,是指凭婚约结合在一起;“以撒”是指理性(即主的理性心智中)的神性良善(参看3024节)。“她”或利百加代表要与理性的神性良善结合的为神性的真理,这在前面(3012, 3030, 3040节)多次提到,也可从本章内义上的细节明显看出来。

3072. Her hast Thou appointed for Thy servant Isaac. That this signifies the conjunction of truth Divine with Divine good in the rational, is evident from the signification of "appointing," that is to say, for a wife, as being to conjoin by a covenant of marriage, and from the representation of Isaac, as being the Divine good of the rational (see n. 3024). That "she," or Rebekah, represents the truth Divine that is to be conjoined with the Divine good of the rational, has been stated above in several places; and the same is evident from the particulars in the internal sense of this chapter.

3072. 'Let her be the one whom You have appointed for Your servant Isaac' means the joining together of Divine truth and Divine Good in the Rational. This is clear from the meaning of 'appointing', that is to say, the woman, as joining together by means of a marriage covenant, and from the representation of 'Isaac' as the Divine good of the Rational, dealt with above in 3024. Rebekah - to whom 'her' refers here - represents Divine truth that was to be joined to the Divine Good of the Rational, as stated in various places above and as is evident from the details in the internal sense in this chapter.
