4777# “约瑟被撕裂了”象征被伪谬所毁灭,甚至完全消失无踪。这是因为“撕裂”在属灵意义上指的是被伪谬彻底摧毁,变得毫无存在感。这里所说的伪谬,是指源自邪恶或私欲的伪谬(参4770节);关于这一点,也可以参考上文第4776节的相关论述。

  4777.“约瑟一定被撕碎了”表虚假使得真理完全不存在。这从“被撕碎”的含义清楚可知,“被撕碎”是指被虚假驱散,或也可说,虚假使它完全不存在。此处所指的是由邪恶,也就是恶欲所产生的虚假(4770节)。对于这些欲望,可参看刚才所述(4776节)。

4777. Joseph is surely torn in pieces. That this signifies that it is such from falsities as to be not at all, is evident from the signification of "being torn in pieces," as being to be dissipated by falsities, or what is the same, to be such from falsities as to be not at all. Falsities from evils or from cupidities are what are here meant (n. 4770); in regard to which see what was said just above (n. 4776).

4777. 'Joseph has been torn to pieces' means that falsities render that truth entirely non-existent. This is clear from the meaning of 'being torn to pieces' as being scattered by falsities, or what amounts to the same, falsities rendering it entirely non-existent. They are falsities arising from evils, that is, from evil desires, that are meant here, 4770. Regarding these desires, see what has been stated immediately above in 4776
