  9931.“在上面按印章的刻法,刻着”表照天堂的气场而铭刻在他们心上的永恒之物。这从“刻着”和“印章的刻法”的含义清楚可知:“刻着”是指铭刻在记忆中(参看98419842节),因而也铭刻在心上(因为铭刻在内部记忆,或一个人生命上的东西,可以说是铭刻在心上),由于这会永远保留下来,故也表示永存之物;“印章的刻法”是指天堂的气场(9846节)。之所以说“照天堂的气场而铭刻在他们心上”,是因为铭刻在记忆中,尤其铭刻在内部记忆中,也就是生命册上(参看2474节)的东西, 照天堂的气场而铭刻。因为一个处于由信之真理所产生的爱之良善的人就类似天堂,而且确实是一个最小形式的天堂(可参看92799632节所提到的地方)。正因如此,天堂的形式就在他里面;事实上,天上的一切社群都照着天堂的模式而被有序排列,因为对良善的一切情感和由此而来的真理的思维就照着这种模式流入(9877节)。当一个人处于天堂之爱时,一切记忆知识都被排列成天堂的模式,是爱如此排列它们(参看6690节)。

9931. And grave upon it with the engraving of a signet. That this signifies what is perpetual and impressed on hearts according to the heavenly sphere, is evident from the signification of "to engrave," as being to impress on the memory (see n. 9841, 9842), thus also on the heart; for that which is impressed on the interior memory, which belongs to the life, is said to be "impressed on the heart," and as this remains to eternity, it also signifies what is perpetual; and from the signification of "the engraving of a signet," as being the heavenly sphere (n. 9846). The reason why it is said to be "impressed on hearts according to the heavenly sphere," is that the things which have been impressed on the memory, especially on the interior memory, which is the book of life (see n. 2474), have been impressed according to the heavenly sphere; for a man who is in the good of love from the truths of faith resembles heaven, and moreover, is a heaven in the least form (see the places cited in n. 9279, 9632); thus in him there is the heavenly form; for all the societies in heaven have been set in order in accordance with the heavenly form, because all the affections of good and the consequent thoughts of truth flow in accordance with this form (n. 9877). (That when a man is in heavenly love all the memory-knowledges are arranged in the heavenly form, and that love so arranges them, see n. 6690.)

9931. 'And engrave on it, [like] the engraving of a signet' means what is everlasting and has been imprinted on their hearts in accord with a heavenly sphere. This is clear from the meaning of 'engraving' as imprinting on the memory, 9841, 9842, thus also on the heart (for what is imprinted on the interior memory, or on one's life, is said to have been imprinted on the heart), and since this remains forever, what exists everlastingly is also meant; and from the meaning of 'the engraving of a signet' as a heavenly sphere, dealt with in 9846. The expression 'what has been imprinted on their hearts in accord with a heavenly sphere' is used because things which have been imprinted on the memory - in particular on the interior memory, which is 'the book of life', 2474 - have been imprinted in accord with a heavenly sphere. For a person governed by the good of love resulting from the truths of faith resembles heaven, indeed he is heaven in the smallest form it takes, see the places referred to above in 9279, 9632. This being so, the heavenly pattern resides in him; for all the communities in heaven have been arranged according to the heavenly pattern, because all affections for good and consequently thoughts of truth flow in accordance with that pattern, 9877. All factual knowledge too is arranged into the heavenly pattern when a person is governed by heavenly love, love being that which so arranges it, see 6690.
