3681. This is the ending that awaits those who seek to snare people in the nightly hours when they are sleeping. It shows how the Lord sees the schemes and tricks of all of them, and brings help in a moment. And also it shows how He guards a person who is sleeping: for it is forbidden to do the least harm to one who is sleeping or even to approach a dead person. 1748, 25 Oct.
3681. Such a catastrophe awaits those who in the night seasons insidiously plot against man, while asleep. Thence it appears how the Lord beholds all attempts and machinations [against his servants], and affords help at the [critical] moment, and how carefully also he regards man in his sleep; for it is forbidden to inflict upon man, at that time, the least injury; as he then nearly approaches [the condition of] a dead man. - 1748, October 25.
3681. Talis exitus manet eos qui nocturnis temporibus insidiantur homini, cum dormit; inde constat, quomodo Dominus videt omnium molimina et machinationes, et momento auxilium fert, tum quoque, quomodo custodit hominem cum dormit: nam vetitum est hominem minimo modo laedere dum dormit; tum qu oque accedere ad hominem mortuum. 1748, 25 Oct.
