3806. But it was shown how he ended up, when from being small and snowy - thus the holy spirit more than others - he became black, and as hard as a mummy, so that he scarcely differed from one, being turned from snowy-white to black, or from holy into extremely profane. For because of what they are, such are turned into the opposite.
3806. But the issue in regard to him was shown, when from being small and snow-white, thus the Holy Spirit above others, he became black and indurated, like a mummy, so that, [in fact] he scarcely differed from a mummy; being thus turned from snowy into black, or from holy to eminently profane; for such, because they are such, are turned into the contrary.
3806. Sed exitus ejus ostensus, cum talis parvus et niveus, sic spiritus sanctus prae aliis, factus est niger, et induratus sicut mumi, sic ut vix differret a mumi, sic versus a niveo in nigrum, seu a sancto in maxime prophanum; quia tales vertuntur in contrarium, quia tales sunt.
