And I am setting up my pact with you symbolizes the Lord's presence in every person who has charity; it refers both to those coming out of the ark and to every wild animal of the earth, that is, to people inside the church and to people outside the church. And no more will all flesh be cut off by the waters of a flood means that they will not be obliterated, as the descendants of the earliest church were. And no more will there be a flood to destroy the earth means that the same kind of deadly, suffocating delusion will not come into being.
