[NCE]1090. The fact that Noah woke up from his wine means when they had learned better is evident from the meaning of waking up after drunkenness. Since in verse 21 [1072] being drunk symbolized falling into error, waking up simply means awakening from error.

Potts(1905-1910) 1090

1090. And Noah awoke from his wine. That this signifies when he was better instructed, is evident from the signification of "awaking" after drunkenness. When he was "drunken" (verse 21) it signified that he had fallen into errors, and therefore his "awaking" is nothing else than coming out of errors.

Elliott(1983-1999) 1090

1090. That 'Noah awoke from his wine' means when he was better informed is clear from the meaning of 'awakening after drunkenness'. When he was 'drunk', verse 21, meant that he sank into errors, and therefore 'awakening' is nothing else than emerging from errors.
