Japheth symbolizes the corresponding outer church, as he did above. May God broaden Japheth! symbolizes its enlightenment. And he will live in Shem's tents means so that the inner dimensions of worship exist within the outward forms. And Canaan will be slave to him here as before means that those who identify worship solely with external forms can serve in lowly ways.
