These are Shem's sons symbolizes cultures that developed out of the inward worship that is Shem. By their clans, by their tongues, in their lands, in their nations mean in harmony with the character of each, specifically and generally. By their clans is in accord with their different forms of charity. By their tongues is in accord with their different beliefs. In their lands is in relation to the effects of faith generally.
