1918、创世记16:6.亚伯兰对撒莱说,看哪,你的婢女在你手中;在你眼里怎样好,你就怎样待她吧。撒莱羞辱她,她就从撒莱面前逃走了。
“亚伯兰对撒莱说”表示感知;“看哪,你的婢女在你手中”表示被孕育的理性在与良善联合的真理的掌控权之下;“在你眼里怎样好,你就怎样待她吧”表示绝对掌控;“撒莱羞辱她”表示征服它;“她就从撒莱面前逃走了”表示这新孕育的理性的愤怒。

1918. Verse 6. And Abram said unto Sarai, Behold thy handmaid is in thy hand, do to her that which is good in thine eyes; and Sarai humbled her, and she fled from her face. "Abram said unto Sarai," signifies perception; "Behold thy handmaid is in thy hand," signifies that the rational that was conceived was in the power of truth adjoined to good; "do to her that which is good in thine eyes," signifies absolute control; "and Sarai humbled her," signifies subjugation; "and she fled from her face," signifies the indignation of this rational that was first conceived.

1918. Verse 6 And Abram said to Sarai, Behold, your servant-girl is in your hand; do to her what is good in your eyes. And Sarai humiliated her, and she fled from her face.

'Abram said to Sarai' means perception. 'Behold, your servant-girl is in your hand' means that this rational was conceived from the controlling power of the affection for truth allied to good. 'Do to her what is good in your eyes' means complete control over. 'And Sarai humiliated her' means subjection. 'And she fled from her face' means the anger of this rational conceived first.

Latin(1748-1756) 1918

1918. Vers. 6. Et dixit Abram ad Sarai, Ecce ancilla tua in manu tua, fac ei quod bonum in oculis tuis; et humiliavit eam Sarai, et fugit a facie (x)ejus. `Dixit Abram ad Sarai' significat perceptionem: `ecce ancilla tua in manu tua' significat rationale hoc conceptum esse sub potestate affectionis veri adjuncti bono: `fac ei quod bonum in oculis tuis' significat imperium: `et humiliavit eam Sarai' significat subjugationem: `et fugit a facie ejus' significat indignationem rationalis hujus primum concepti.
