23、在圣言中,再没有什么比“日”被理解为时间本身更常见的了。如以赛亚书:
耶和华的日子临近了。看哪,耶和华的日子临到。我发烈怒的日子,必使天震动,地必摇撼,离其本位。他的时候临近,他的日子必不长久。(以赛亚书13:6,9,13,22)
同一先知书:
她的起源溯自古日。到那日,推罗必被忘记七十年,照着一王的日子。(以赛亚书23:7,15)
“日”因表示时期,故也表示该时期的状态,如耶利米书:
我们有祸了!日渐西沉,晚影拖长了。(耶利米书6:4)
又:
你们若能废弃我白日立的约和我黑夜立的约,使白日黑夜不按时轮转。(耶利米书33:20,25)
又:
求你复新我们的日子,像古时一样。(耶利米哀歌5:21)

[NCE]23. Nothing is more common in the Word than for a day to be understood as meaning the times, as in Isaiah:
The day of Jehovah is near. Look — the day of Jehovah is coming! I will shake heaven, and the earth will tremble right out of its place, on the day when my anger blazes up. The time of his coming is near, and its days{*1} will not be postponed. (Isaiah 13:6, 9, 13, 22)
In the same prophet:
In the days of old she was old. It will happen on that day that Tyre will be forgotten for seventy years, corresponding to the days of one king. (Isaiah 23:7, 15)
Because a day stands for a time period, it is also taken to mean the state we are in during that period, as in Jeremiah:
Doom to us! For the day has faded, for the shadows of evening have lengthened. (Jeremiah 6:4)
In the same prophet:
If you nullify my compact with the day and my compact with the night, so that there is no daytime or night at their times ... (Jeremiah 33:20, 25)
And again:
Renew our days as in ancient times. (Lamentations 5:21){*2}

23. Nothing is more common in the Word than for "day" to be used to denote time itself. As in Isaiah:

The day of Jehovah is at hand. Behold, the day of Jehovah cometh. I will shake the heavens, and the earth shall be shaken out of her place: in the day of the wrath of Mine anger. Her time is near to come, and her days shall not be prolonged (Isa. 13:6, 9, 13, 22). And in the same Prophet:

Her antiquity is of ancient days. And it shall come to pass in that day that Tyre shall be forgotten seventy years, according to the days of one king (Isa. 23:7, 15). As "day" is used to denote time, it is also used to denote the state of that time, as in Jeremiah:

Woe unto us, for the day is gone down, for the shadows of the evening are stretched out (Jer. 6:4). And again:

If ye shall make vain My covenant of the day, and My covenant of the night, so that there be not day and night in their season (Jer. 23:20, also 25). And again:

Renew our days, as of old (Lam. 5:21).

23. Nothing is more common in the Word than for the word 'day' to be used to mean the particular time at which events take place, as in Isaiah, The day of Jehovah is near. Behold, the day of Jehovah comes. I will make heaven tremble, and the earth will be shaken out of its place, on the day of My fierce anger. Its time is close at hand, and its days will not be prolonged. Isa 13:6, 9, 13, 22.

And in the same prophet,

Her antiquity is in the days of antiquity. On that day Tyre will be forgotten for seventy years, like the days of one king. Isa 23:7,15.
Since 'day' stands for the particular time it also stands for the state associated with that particular time, as in Jeremiah, Woe to us, for the day has declined, for the shadows of evening have lengthened! Jer 6:4

And in the same prophet,

If you break My covenant that is for the day and My covenant that is for the night, so that there is neither daytime nor night at their appointed time. Jer 33:20, 25.
Also,

Renew our days as of old. Lam 5:21.

23. Quod 'dies' pro ipso tempore accipiatur, nihil communius est in Verbo; ut apud Esaiam, Propinquus est dies Jehovae....Ecce dies Jehovae venit.... Caelum commovebo, et contremiscet terra e loco suo,...in die excandescentiae irae Meae....Propinquum ad veniendum est tempus ipsius, et dies ejus non protrahentur, xiii 6, 9, 13, 22:

et apud eundem prophetam, In diebus antiquitatis antiquitas ejus....Fiet in die illo oblivioni tradetur Tyrus septuaginta annis, juxta dies regis unius, xxiii 7, {x}15.
