Apocalypse Explained (Tansley translation 1923) 615

615. Go, take the little book, which is open in the hand of the angel who standeth upon the sea and upon the earth.- That this signifies the Word manifested by the Lord to heaven and the church, is evident from the signification of the little book open, as denoting the Word manifested (see above, n. 599); from the signification of the angel who had the little book in his hand, as denoting the Lord as to the Word (see above, n. 593); from the signification of the sea and the earth, as denoting heaven and the church (see above, n. 600); and from the signification of standing upon them, as denoting the subjection of all things in them to him (see above, n. 606). It is therefore evident, that the little book open in the hand of the angel who stood upon the sea and upon the earth, signifies the Word manifested from the Lord to heaven and the church. The signification of taking it and eating it up, will be explained in what follows.

Apocalypse Explained (Whitehead translation 1912) 615

615. Go, take the little book that is open in the hand of the angel who standeth upon the sea and upon the earth, signifies the Word manifested by the Lord to heaven and the church. This is evident from the signification of "the little book that is open," as being the Word manifested (See above, n. 599); also from the signification of the "angel who had the little book in his hand," as being the Lord in relation to the Word (See above, n. 593); also from the signification of "sea and earth," as being heaven and the church (See above, n. 600); and also from the signification of "standing upon them," as being that all things in them are subject to the Lord (See above, n. 606). From this it can be seen that "the little book that is open in the hand of the angel who standeth upon the sea and upon the earth" signifies the Word manifested by the Lord to heaven and the church. The signification of "taking it and eating it up" will be shown in what follows.

Apocalypsis Explicata 615 (original Latin 1759)

615. "Abi, accipe libellum apertum in manu angeli stantis super mari at super terra."
