1485. About the punishment of the whirl
There is also a punishment of some spirits that can be called the punishment of the whirl, consisting of being whirled around like a wheel, and this continually, and also very fast. Then after this they are like clothes without a body, their arms like sleeves of clothes in which there is no bone or flesh, so they are light, and in this condition they are waved around.

There is also a punishment for certain spirits which can be called the punishment of the whirl, that is, they are whirled around as an axle, and this continually and indeed very quickly. After this they are like clothes without a body, and their arms like the sleeves of a garment in which there is neither bone nor flesh; thus they are light, and are tossed about in this way.

Est quoque poena quorundam, quae vocari potest poena verticilli, quod nempe circumrotentur sicut axis, et hoc continuo, et quidem celerrime, ac postea sunt sicut vestes absque corpore, et brachia eorum sicut vertium brachia, in quibus non os aut caro, ita leves, et sic agitantur.
