1940. When evil spirits intend evil against the good, then the communication is closed at once
It is remarkable, and noteworthy, that when evil spirits are permitted to intend some evil against the good, that evil cannot get through to the good. All and the very least of their intentions are blocked at once. By a spiritual mental image it is portrayed in this way, namely, as lines or rays that suddenly coalesce so that nothing gets inside. Thus it does not reach the good.
1940. WHEN EVIL SPIRITS INTEND EVIL TO THE GOOD, THERE IS AN IMMEDIATE CLOSING OF THE COMMUNICATION.
It is something wonderful and worthy of observation, that whenever it is permitted to evil spirits to intend any special evil towards the good, that the evil entirely fails to reach them; all and singular the things which they intended are forthwith closed in. This fact is also represented by a spiritual idea, namely, by the sudden closing up or closing in of lines or radii, so as to embrace nothing within; in like manner [the threatened evil] does not reach to the good.

Mirabile et observatu dignum est, quod dum malis spiritibus permittitur malum aliquod bonis intendere, quod non ad bonos penetrare possit, illico omnia et singula, quae intenderunt, quasi clauduntur, repraesentatur quoque ita idea spirituali, nempe sicut lineae, seu radii, qui illico clauduntur, ut nihil sit intus, sic non pervenit ad bonos.
