2440. My symbolic portrayals were seen by spirits as live
Several times it was granted, when I was speaking with spirits - and of course, by symbolic displays as well, as is easily done in the world of spirits, that is, speaking by portrayals - that they told me that these appeared to them as if they were live, so that when I depicted peoples, camps, and the like, they appeared to the spirits to be real as they saw them, but not so to me.
2440. THAT MY REPRESENTATIONS WERE SEEN BY SPIRITS AS IT WERE ALIVE.
Several times it was granted, when I spoke with spirits, and indeed at the same time through representations, as happens usually with ease in the world of spirits, think that they speak through representations, that they then have said to me that these [representations] appeared before them as alive, and were [so] so that when peoples, camps, and the like were displayed representatively, they appeared before spirits just as if they saw them; but [they did not appear] to me.
2440. Quod repraesentationes meae visae spiritibus, sicut vivae
Aliquoties datum, cum loquerer cum spiritibus, et quidem simul per repraesentationes, quod fieri solet facile in mundo spirituum, quod nempe per repraesentationes loquantur, tunc dixerunt mihi, quod apparerent eae 1
coram iis sicut vivae etiam essent, ut cum sisterentur repraesentative populi, castra et similia, apparebant ita coram spiritibus, sicut ea viderent, non autem mihi.
