3433. And because he led a life devoid of a higher knowledge of life, he seemed barely noticeable, thus imagining that there is spiritual life apart from bodily life.
3433. And because he thus spent life without a knowledge of life, he appears but obscurely, accordingly as he regarded life as something spiritual and abstracted from the body.
3433. Et quia vitam, absque cognitione vitae, agebat, inconspicuus visus, sic putans spiritualem vitam esse, abstractam a corporea.
