3771. A man was also seen stepping up and speaking on a kind of platform such as are built for soothsayers. He was said to have been their chief, who spoke, saying he had never done such things, nor thought that it was possible.
3771. A man was also seen ascending and speaking upon a certain platform [plano], such as is constructed for diviners, who was said to have been one of their chiefs; this man spoke and said that he had never done such things nor thought that anything like them could occur.
