Afterwards when it unrolled toward my head, there appeared in that long plate a snake or serpent lying lengthwise, which snake or serpent was standing up with its tail upwards and its head in my hair. Something was then inspired concerning the serpent that deceived Eve from the tree of knowledge [Gen. 3:13].

Afterward when rolled towards my head there appeared in this long lamina a snake or serpent within the lamina, corresponding to it in size, which snake or serpent was erect, so that its tail was upwards, and its head in my hair. There was then suggested something respecting the serpent, which from the tree of knowledge deceived Eve.
3808. Postea cum revolutus versus caput meum, tunc in lamina hac longa apparebat anguis seu serpens in lamina secundum ejus longitudinem, qui anguis seu serpens erectus, sic ut cauda sursum, et caput ejus in crinibus meis, inspiratum tunc quid de serpente, qui ex arbore scientiae decepit Evam [Gen.
