  299.就属天之义而言,“妄称神之名”表示主针对法利赛人所说的话:人一切的罪和亵渎的话,都可得赦免,惟独亵渎圣灵,总不得赦免。(马太福音12:3132
  “亵渎圣灵”表示亵渎主之人身的神性和圣言的神圣。在属天或至高之义上,“耶和华神的名”表示主的神性人身,这可从以下经文明显看出来:
  耶稣说:“父啊!荣耀祢的名。”有声音从天上来,说:“我已经荣耀了我的名,还要再荣耀” 。(约翰福音12:28
  你们奉我的名无论求什么,我必成就,叫父因儿子得荣耀。你们若奉我的名求什么,我必成就。(约翰福音14:1314
  这也是主祷文中“尊祢的名为圣”(马太福音6:9)的属天之义,同样是《出埃及记》(23:21)、《以赛亚书》(63:16)中之“名”的属天之义。因为惟独亵渎圣灵,总不得赦免(如马太福音12:3132所述),这就是此诫命的属天之义,它后面还加了一句:“因为妄称耶和华名的,耶和华必不以他为无罪。”

299. 就屬靈之義而言, 妄稱上帝之名的意思正是主對法利賽人所言:"人一切的罪和褻瀆, 都可得赦免, 惟獨對靈的褻瀆, 總不得赦免"(馬太福音12:31-32)。

"對靈的褻瀆"表示對主的人身和對聖言之神聖的褻瀆。"耶和華上帝的名"的屬天或最高層意義是指主的神性人身之顯現, 可從下列經文中明顯看出:耶穌說:"父啊!榮耀禰的名。"有聲音從天上來, 說:"我已經榮耀了我的名, 還要再榮耀"(約翰福音12:28)。你們奉我的名無論求什麼, 我必成就, 叫父因兒子得榮耀。你們若奉我的名求什麼, 我必成就(約翰福音14:13-14)。

主禱文中的"願禰的名為聖"(馬太福音6:9)一句的屬天之義也是如此, 同樣還有出埃及記23:21 ;以賽亞書63:16中的"名"。

因為馬太福音12:31-32節說:"對靈的褻瀆"不得赦免, 這是指著此誡命的屬天意義而講的, 因此在此誡命之後加上此句:"因為妄稱耶和華名的, 耶和華必不以他為無罪。"

299. In the heavenly meaning, taking the Lord's name in vain parallels what the Lord said to the Pharisees:

All sin and blasphemy is forgiven people, but blasphemy of the Spirit is not forgiven. (Matthew 12:31-32)

"Blasphemy of the Spirit" means blasphemy against the divinity of the Lord's human manifestation and against the holiness of the Word.

In the highest or heavenly meaning, the "name of Jehovah God" stands for the Lord's divine-human manifestation, as the following passages make clear:

Jesus said, "Father, glorify your name. " And a voice came out of heaven that said, "I both have glorified it and will glorify it again. " (John 12:27-28)

Whatever you ask in my name, I will do it, so that the Father is glorified in the Son. If you ask anything in my name, I will do it. (John 14:13-14)

In the heavenly sense the phrase in the Lord's prayer "Your name must be kept holy" [Matthew 6:9] has the same meaning, as does the word name in Exodus 23:21 and Isaiah 63:16.

Since Matthew 12:31 and 32 says that "blasphemy of the Spirit" is not forgiven us, and this is what the heavenly meaning refers to, for this reason the following phrase is added to this commandment: "because Jehovah will not hold guiltless someone who takes his name in vain. "

299. In the celestial sense, taking the name of God in vain means what the Lord said to the Pharisees:

A man shall be forgiven every sin and blasphemy, but blasphemy against the Spirit shall not be forgiven, Matthew 12:31-32.

Blasphemy against the Spirit means blasphemy against the divinity of the Lord's Human, and the holiness of the Word. It is evident from the following passages that the Lord's Divine Human is meant in the celestial or highest sense by 'the name of Jehovah God':

Jesus said, Father, glorify your name; and a voice came forth from heaven saying, I have glorified it and I will do so again, John 12:28.

Whatever you ask in my name, that will I do, so that the Father may be glorified in the Son. If you ask anything in my name, I shall do it, John 14:13-14.

This too is the meaning in the celestial sense of 'May your name be hallowed' in the Lord's prayer; and likewise of 'name' in Exodus 23:21; Isaiah 63:16. Since blasphemy against the Spirit is not forgiven anyone (as stated in Matthew 12:31-32), and this is the meaning in the celestial sense, the phrase is added to the commandment: 'For Jehovah will not hold anyone guiltless, who takes His name in vain.'
