703. How the Lord instituted the Holy Supper:
Jesus prepared the Passover with his disciples. When evening had come, he reclined to dine with them. As they were eating, Jesus took the bread, blessed it, broke it, and gave it to the disciples. He said, "Take, eat; this is my body. " And taking the cup and giving thanks, he gave it to them, saying, "Drink from it, all of you; this is my blood of the new testament, which is shed for many. " (Matthew 26:26-28; Mark 14:22-24; Luke 22:19-20)
[2] What the Lord taught about his own flesh and his own blood, and about bread and wine:
Work for food - not for the food that perishes but for the food that lasts to eternal life, which the Son of Humankind will give you. Truly, truly I say to you, Moses did not give you bread from heaven, but my Father gives you the true bread from heaven. The bread of God is the one who comes down from heaven and gives life to the world. I am the bread of life. Those who come to me will never be hungry, and those who believe in me will never be thirsty. I am the bread that came down from heaven. Truly, truly I say to you, those who believe in me have eternal life. I am the bread of life. Your ancestors ate manna in the desert and died. This is the bread that comes down from heaven so that anyone who eats of it will live and not die. I am the living bread that came down from heaven. Anyone who eats this bread will live forever. The bread that I will give is my flesh, which I am giving for the life of the world. Truly, truly I say to you, unless you eat the flesh of the Son of Humankind and drink his blood, you will not have life within you. Those who eat my flesh and drink my blood have eternal life; I will revive them on the last day. My flesh is true food and my blood is true drink. Those who eat my flesh and drink my blood live in me and I in them. (John 6:27, , 35, 41, , )
703. THE INSTITUTION OF THE HOLY SUPPER BY THE LORD.
Jesus kept the Passover with the disciples, and when it was evening reclined at table with them.
And while they were eating, Jesus taking bread and blessing it broke it and gave it to the disciples, and said, Take, eat, this is my body. And taking the cup and giving thanks he gave it to them, saying, Drink of it, all of you. This is my blood, the blood of the new covenant, 1 which is shed for many, Matthew 26:26-28; Mark 14:22-24; Luke 22:19-20.
[2] THE LORD'S TEACHING ABOUT HIS FLESH AND BLOOD, AND ABOUT BREAD AND WINE.
Work for food, not that which perishes, but that which lasts to everlasting life, which the Son of Man will give you. Truly, truly I tell you, it was not Moses that gave you bread from heaven, but my Father gives you the true bread from heaven. For God's bread is that which comes down from heaven and gives life to the world. I am the bread of life. He who comes to me shall not be hungry, and he who believes in me shall never be thirsty. I am the bread that came down from heaven. Truly, truly I say to you, he who believes in me has everlasting life. I am the bread of life. Your fathers ate manna in the desert and are dead. This is the bread which comes down from heaven, so that anyone who eats of it may live and not die. I am the living bread that came down from heaven. If anyone eats of this bread, he will live for ever. The bread which I shall give is my flesh, which I shall give for the life of the world. Truly, truly I tell you: if you do not eat the flesh of the Son of Man and drink his blood, you will not have life in you. He who eats my flesh and drinks my blood has everlasting life, and I shall bring him back to life on the last day. For my flesh is truly food, and my blood is truly drink. He who eats my flesh and drinks my blood remains in me, and I in him, John 6:27, 32, 33, 34-35, 41, 47-51, 53-56.

The Lord's Doctrine respecting His Flesh and Blood, and the Bread and Wine:
Work not for the meat that perisheth, but for that meat which abideth unto eternal life, which the Son of man shall give unto you. Verily, verily, I say unto you, it was not Moses that gave you the bread out of heaven, but My Father giveth you the true bread out of heaven; for the bread of God is He that cometh down out of heaven, and giveth life unto the world. This is the bread which cometh down out of heaven, that one may eat thereof and not die. I am the living bread which came down from heaven; if any man eat of this bread he shall live forever; and the bread that I will give is My flesh, which I will give for the life of the world. Verily, verily, I say unto you, Except ye eat the flesh of the Son of man, and drink His blood, ye have no life in you. He that eateth My flesh and drinketh My blood hath eternal life, and I will raise him up at the last day; for My flesh is truly meat, and My blood is truly drink. He that eateth My flesh and drinketh My blood abideth in Me and I in him (John 6:27-56).

703. INSTITUTIO SANCTAE COENAE A DOMINO.
Amen, amen, dico vobis, qui credit in Me, habet vitam aeternam: Ego sum Panis vitae. Qui manducat meam Carnem, et bibit meum Sanguinem, in Me manet, et Ego in illo. Johannes 6:27, 32, 33, 35, 41, 47-51, 53-56. 2
