419# 人若因良善本身为善而爱良善，因真理本身为真而爱真理，他就是以卓越的方式爱邻舍；其原因在于，他爱主，而主就是良善本身与真理本身。爱良善，并由此爱真理，因而爱邻舍，并不出于别的源头；由此，对邻舍之爱乃由天堂的本源形成。
无论说“用”，还是说“善”，都是同一回事；因此，行用就是行善。善之为善，在于其中用的程度与性质。

VII. 仁爱和善行就像意愿良善和实行良善一样是截然不同的两回事
419. People who love what is good because it is good and love what is true because it is true have supreme love for their neighbor, because they love the Lord who is goodness itself and truth itself. Love for goodness, love for truth, and love for our neighbor come from nowhere else. Love for our neighbor, then, has a heavenly origin.
It is the same thing whether you say "goodness" or "usefulness. " Therefore doing good things is doing useful things. The amount and quality of usefulness that a given good thing has determines the amount and quality of its goodness.
419. A person who loves good because it is good, and truth because it is true, is the one who above all loves the neighbour, because he loves the Lord, who is good itself and truth itself. There is no other source of the love of good and of truth from good, and so of the neighbour. This is how love towards the neighbour is formed from its heavenly origin. It makes no difference whether we say service or good; performing services is doing good, and good deeds are good depending to what extent and in what way they are of use.
419. The man who loves good because it is good, and truth because it is truth, loves the neighbor eminently, because he loves the Lord who is good itself and truth itself. There is no love of good and love of truth from good, that is, love to the neighbor, from any other source. Love to the neighbor is thus formed from a heavenly origin. It is the same thing whether you say use or good; therefore performing uses is doing good; and according to the quantity and quality of the use in the good so far in quantity and quality the good is good.
419. He who loves what is good because it is good, and what is true because it is true, in a special sense loves the neighbor. For then he loves the Lord, who is Good itself and Truth itself, and who is thus the only source of the love of good, and of truth derived from it, and so of the neighbor; and love towards the neighbor, therefore, has a heavenly origin. Whether we speak of use or of good, it is the same thing; and so to perform uses is to do good, and the nature of the good depends upon the use in the good that is done.
419. Homo, qui amat bonum quia est bonum, et verum quia est verum, 1 ille eminenter amat proximum, ex causa, quia ille amat Dominum, qui est ipsum Bonum et ipsum Verum; aliunde non est amor boni et inde veri, et sic proximi; ita formatur amor erga proximum ex origine coelesti. Sive dicatur usus, sive bonum, idem est; quare facere usus est facere bona, et quantum et quale usus est in bonis, tantum et taliter bona sunt bona.
