10089. And shalt wave it a wave-offering before Jehovah. That this signifies vivification, is evident from the signification of "waving a wave-offering before Jehovah," as being vivification through the acknowledgment of the Lord, and that He has all power in the heavens and on earth (see above, n. 10083). It is known that the first of the church is to acknowledge the Lord; for the doctrine of the church teaches that without the Lord there is no salvation. That He has all power, the Word teaches in many passages, and the Lord Himself in these which follow:
All things have been delivered unto Me by the Father (Matt. 11:27; Luke 10:22). The Father hath given all things into the hand of the Son (John 3:34, 35). The Father hath given to the Son power over all flesh (John 17:2). Without Me ye cannot do anything (John 15:5). All power hath been given unto Me in heaven and on earth (Matt. 28:18). Jesus said to Peter, Thou art a rock, and I will give unto thee the keys of the kingdom of the heavens, and whatsoever thou shalt bind on earth shall be bound in the heavens, and whatsoever thou shalt loose on earth shall be loosed in the heavens (Matt. 16:18, 19);
(that by "Peter" in this passage is meant faith from the Lord, thus the Lord as to faith, which has this power, see the preface to Genesis 22, n. 4738, 6344; and that a "rock," as he is there called, denotes the Lord in respect to faith, n. 8581).

10089. 'And wave it as a wave offering before Jehovah' means being endowed with life. This is clear from the meaning of 'waving as a wave offering before Jehovah' as being endowed with life through acknowledgement of the Lord and of the truth that all power in heaven and on earth is His, dealt with above in 10083. It is well known that the first thing of the Church consists in acknowledging the Lord, for the Church teaches that without the Lord there is no salvation. Many places in the Word teach that all power is His; indeed He Himself so teaches in the following places,
All things have been delivered to Me by the Father. Matt 11:27; Luke 10:22.The Father has given all things into the hand of the Son. John 3:34,35.a The Father has given the Son power over all flesh. John 17:2. Without Me you can do nothing. John 15:5. All power in heaven and on earth has been given to Me. Matt 28:18. Jesus said to Peter, You are the rock; I will give you the keys of the kingdom of heaven, and whatever you bind on earth will be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth will be loosed in heaven. Matt 16:18,19.
By Peter here faith received from the Lord should be understood, thus the Lord in respect of faith, who possesses that power, see Preface to Genesis 22, and 4738, 6344(end). And 'the rock', as he is called there, means the Lord in respect of faith, 8581.
