Melchizedek symbolizes the heavenly qualities of the Lord's intermediate self. King of Salem symbolizes the peaceful state{*1} of his intermediate plane, or his rational mind. Brought out bread symbolizes heavenly qualities and the refreshment they provide. And wine symbolizes spiritual qualities and the refreshment they provide. And he was a priest symbolizes holy love. To God the Highest symbolizes his inner self, which was Jehovah.
