1192. Verse 24. And in her was found the blood of prophets and of saints, and of all that have been slain upon the earth.
"And in her was found the blood of prophets and of saints," signifies violence offered by them to every truth and thence to every good of the Word: "and of all that have been slain upon the earth," signifies all the falsities and evils by which those perished who were of the church.

24. "Et in ea sanguis prophetarum et sanctorum inventus est, et omnium occisorum super terra."
24. "Et in ea sanguis prophetarum et sanctorum inventus est", significat violentiam ab illis illatam omni vero et inde bono Verbi [n. 1193] ; "et omnium occisorum super terra", significat omnia falsa et mala, per quae illi qui ab ecclesia perierunt [n. 1194] .
