302. When He opened the second seal. (6:3) This symbolizes an examination by the Lord of those people on whom the Last Judgment would fall, as to their states of life.
The symbolism here is similar to the symbolism before in no. 295, with the difference described in what follows.
302. [verse 3] 'And when He had opened the second seal' signifies the examination by the Lord of those upon whom there is going to be the last judgment, as to the states of their life. Here are signified things similar to those before (295), with a difference, about which [the exposition] follows.
302. Verse 3. And when He had opened the second seal, signifies exploration by the Lord of those upon whom the Last Judgment was to be executed, as to their states of life. The signification here is similar to what was shown before, (295), only with the difference mentioned in what follows.
