213. As for love and wisdom, love is the purpose, wisdom the means, and service the result. Further, service is the composite, vessel, and foundation of wisdom and love, such a composite and such a vessel that every bit of love and every bit of wisdom is actively present in it. It is their total presence. We need to be absolutely clear, though, that in keeping with what was presented in 189-194 above, what are present in service are all the elements of love and wisdom that are of the same kind, harmonious.
213. As regards love and wisdom, love is the end, wisdom the cause or means, and useful endeavor the effect, and useful endeavor embraces, contains, and is the foundation of love and wisdom. Moreover, useful endeavor so embraces and so contains them that all the qualities of the love and all the qualities of the wisdom are actually present in it, useful endeavor being the concurrence of these.
It should be rightly known, however, that it is all homogeneous and accordant qualities of love and wisdom that are present in useful endeavor, in accordance with the observations presented and demonstrated above in the discussion in nos. 189-194.
213. As regards love and wisdom, love is the end, wisdom the instrumental cause, and use is the effect. Also use is the complex, containant and base of wisdom and love. And use is such a complex and such a containant that all things of love and all things of wisdom are actually within it. It is their "togetherness." But it should be clearly borne in mind that all things of love and wisdom which are homogeneous and concordant, are present in use, in accordance with those things mentioned and explained above (in the section189-194).
213. As regards love and wisdom:-Love is the end, wisdom the instrumental cause, and use is the effect; and use is the complex, containant, and base of wisdom and love; and use is such a complex and such a containant, that all things of love and all things of wisdom are actually in it; it is where they are all simultaneously present. But it should be borne in mind that all things of love and wisdom, which are homogeneous and concordant, are present in use, according to what is said and shown above (in chapter, n. 189-194).
