L39.⑵主被称为“以色列的神”和“雅各的神”。这一点从下列经文明显看出来，出埃及记：
摩西就取了血来，将血洒在百姓身上，说，看哪，立约的血，是耶和华与你们所立的。他们看见以色列的神，祂脚下仿佛有蓝宝石的作工，好像天空物质一般。（出埃及记24:8，10）
马太福音：
众人都希奇，因为看见哑吧说话，瘸子行走，瞎子看见，他们就归荣耀给以色列的神。（马太福音15:31）
路加福音：
主以色列的神是应当称颂的。因祂眷顾祂的百姓以色列，为他们施行救赎。在大卫家中为我们兴起了拯救的角。（路加福音1:68，69）
以赛亚书：
我要将暗中的宝物和隐密处的财宝赐给你，使你知道按着你的名呼召你的，就是我耶和华，以色列的神。（以赛亚书45:3）
又：
雅各家啊，你们指着耶和华的名起誓，……以色列的神；他们被称为圣城的人，又倚靠以色列的神；万军之耶和华是祂的名。（以赛亚书48:1，2）
又：
雅各必看见他的儿女在他中间，他们必尊我的名为圣，必尊雅各的圣者为圣，必敬畏以色列的神。（以赛亚书29:23）

39. We can see that the Lord is called “the God of Israel” and “the God of Jacob” from the following passages:

... so that all flesh may know that I, Jehovah, am your Savior, and your Redeemer, the Mighty One of Jacob. (Isaiah 49:26)

David swore to Jehovah and made a vow to the Mighty One of Jacob, “[God forbid] that I enter the tent of my home until I have found a place for Jehovah, a dwelling for the Mighty One of Jacob.” We have heard of him in Ephrata [that is, Bethlehem]. (Psalms 132:2-3, 5-6)
Blessed be the God of Israel; the whole earth will be full of his glory. (Psalms 72:18-19)

39. The Lord is called the God of Israel and the God of Jacob. This is apparent from the following:

39. 2. THE LORD IS CALLED THE GOD OF ISRAEL, AND THE GOD OF JACOB. This is evident from the following passages:
