1180. They are also afraid that if very inward matters were to be disclosed, it would be over with them. For they realize that within themselves they do not possess the very inward qualities the rest of the angels do, who, even if they do not know certain very inward truths, nevertheless, on hearing them, embrace and love them, and in the same way, by the Lord's power, can likewise bring forth very many similar truths.
1180. They also fear that if the more interior things were to be disclosed it would be all over with them, for they perceive that they do not possess within themselves these more interior things as do the other angels, who, although ignorant of certain more interior verities, nevertheless eagerly receive and love them as soon as they hear them; and in like manner from the Lord they can also bring forth very many similar things.
1180. Timent quoque, si intimiora detegerentur, quod de iis actum foret 1
, nam percipiunt, quod intimiora non possideant in se, sicut reliqui angeli, qui tametsi ignorant intimiores quasdam veritates, usque tamen, dum eas audiunt, arripiunt et amant, similiter, etiam ex Domino, permulta similia producere possunt.
