1192. With this maturing girl there was at the same time a girl who did not appear to me, flying toward my right cheek, but not appearing. I only sensed that she was suddenly tending in the direction of the right side of my face. This I sensed, but did not see. She symbolized the innermost parts [of the Word], which do not reach my grasp, yet do reach a kind of inward sense: for innermost things are like that.
1192. Together with this adolescent girl there was a certain female spirit who did not appear to me; she was flying to my right cheek, but not appearing. I only perceived that she suddenly directed herself to the right side of my face; this I perceived but did not see. She signified the inmost things of the Word which come to my perception to a degree but not to my apprehension; for the inmost things are such.
1192. Simul cum hac puella adolescente erat quaedam, quae non mihi apparuit, volans ad dextram genam, nec apparens, modo percipiebam quod ad dextrum faciei latus subito tenderet, percepi hoc sed non vidi, significabat haec intima, quae ad captum meum non perveniunt, sed usque ad perceptionis quoddam: nam intima talia sunt.
