For weeks, even months, I have been granted an extremely clear awareness that I was led by spirits along roads, streets, in circles, at their will, without their telling me at all where I should go, or suggesting it to my thinking. So they just plainly led me [56a]. Hence it can be realized that there is an inner awareness that is not very manifest.
1407. For weeks, indeed for months, I have been granted a most manifest perception that I was led by spirits through ways and streets, and into gyres, according to their will, without their saying anything as to where I was to go, or introducing it into my thought; yet it was manifest that they had led me in this way. Hence there is an interior perception that can be perceived, which is not thus manifest.
1407. Perceptio manifestissima mihi data est per septimanas imo menses, quod a spiritibus ductus sim per vias, plateas, in gyros, secundum eorum voluntatem, absque quod aliquid dixerint, quo eundum, vel quod intulerint cogitationi, sed modo quod ii sic me manifeste duxerint [56a]]; inde quod perceptio interior [detur] percipi potest, quae non ita manifesta est.
