1474. Still, not all heavenly angels are like this. There are just some whose mental images are not allowed to wander farther than where they remain completely with the idea of affection. Affection is the life of all, for by it they are regenerated. Other qualities develop afterwards. In order that these may continue in the idea of affection which is the life of everything - for in this way they are regenerated - the other things are later formed therefrom.
