1563. About bodily cravings
There are spirits who constitute [that function] which is called craving, and indeed, bodily craving. There are various kinds of craving, not just the appetite for eating, but for many objects, as is known. A kind of craving causes us to desire numerous things, such as baths, the clothes we like to wear, and so on.
1563. CONCERNING BODILY APPETITE.
There are spirits who constitute what is called appetite, even that of the body. These appetites are various, as of eating, drinking, etc., since it is well known that man is prompted by a certain craving to enjoy the luxury of baths, of fine clothing, and the like.
1563. De appetitu corporeo
Sunt spiritus, qui constituunt id, quod appetitus vocatur, et quidem corporis; appetitus sunt varii, non solum edendi, sed plurium objectorum, sicut notum est, quod appetitu quodam desideret homo multa, ut balnea, tum quibus vestiri velit, et similia.
