Spiritual Experiences (Odhner and Nemitz translation 1998) 2116

2116. They also acknowledged aloud that it cannot be otherwise than that what comes from the Lord be most perfect, and the best, for if there were even the very least thing in beginnings that was not most perfect and best, the greatest confusion and the ruin of everything would result in everything derived from them, or on the paths downward or outward.

Spiritual Experiences (Buss translation 1902) 2116

2116. They also acknowledged with living voice that it was not possible but that what came from the Lord was the most perfect and best; for if there should be the least thing in principles which was not the perfectest and best, there would exist the greatest confusion and ruin thereof in derivatives, or in the ways leading downward or outward therefrom.

Experientiae Spirituales 2116 (original Latin 1748-1764)
