2141. From this it is now clear that the Lord Alone is Speech, and the Word, because all things are from Him. 1748, 31 May.

[2141 1/2.] Man and Spirit cannot wander the least bit beyond set limits

This was shown by various experience, for spirits were thinking that they possessed free will, or liberty. 1

(That men and spirits cannot at all wander out of their appointed limits. This was shown by various experience, for spirits suppose that they enjoy an unbounded freewill or license.)
