2245. This shows what kind of punishment those suffer who abuse the gift of cleverness, and who cleverly deliver cutting remarks so as to hurt others, and destroy them. For by enjoyable fantasies he delights them, so to speak, while underneath, he is wounding, hurting, and killing. 1748, 8 June.
2245. Hence it may be apparent what sort of punishment is inflicted upon such as abuse the gift of genius and shrewdly moisten the eyes, to hurt others, thus to destroy them, for by delectable phantasies he, as it were, delights them, but under these wounds, hurts, and kills. - 1748, June 8.
