2666. Those who regard adulteries as no crime, but delight in them, are also extremely cruel, for they are against marriage love, consequently against true love. Being thus stirred up by self-love, they hate others, and long to exercise cruelty against any who do not adore them.

They who do not regard adulteries as criminal, but delight in them, are also cruel in the highest degree, for they are opposed to [contra] conjugial love, hence to true love, therefore are smitten with self-love: wherefore they hold others in hatred, upon whom they desire to practice cruelty, unless they adore them).
2666. Qui pro non nefas aestimant adulteria, sed iis delectantur, quam maxime etiam crudeles sunt, nam sunt contra amorem conjugialem, proinde contra verum amorem, ita amore sui perciti, quare odio habent alios, in quos crudelitatem exercere cupiunt, nisi semet adorent.
