2791. This also shows how easily the falsities and wicked deeds of souls in the other life are exposed, for the conviction spoken of [2 Kings 8:15.
2791. Hence also may be evident how easily the falsities and crimes of souls are detected [discovered] in the other life: for this so plainly dispersed itself into the spirits around and into me that all supposed themselves guilty [thereof], and everyone began to think whether it was he - for I was then reading of Hasael that he wetted a towel in water and smothered Benhadad. - 2 Kings 8:15.
