3073. At times it has been granted me to be among those who spoke, and it appeared to me that I was leading them and they did not know this, only realizing it afterwards. From this one can tell how the one leads the other, and speaks with the other, and it is not perceived otherwise than that he on whom [my] thought and attention [is directed] is speaking. 1748, 6 Sept.
