As for the clothes, or garments, these are only portrayals of societies that remain in the lowest and the lower regions, and by the little one coming out it is portrayed that there are societies that are inward, who are with his inward parts. Thus the things as they are portrayed above arise from the changes of state of a society, and are so presented before the eyes of the world of spirits.
3225. Such things as are represented by garments or clothing are only representations of societies which remain in lowest and inferior things, and that which was represented by the little one, which [flew forth] thence, with his interiors, is the societies which are interior. Thus such things as were previously represented arise from changes of state of societies, and are thus presented before the eyes of the world of spirits.
3225.
