3956. About those who represent the ear
There are spirits who represent the outer ear, and those who represent the inner ear. Among those representing the inward ear, some who represent the right inward ear were often heard. They want to speak, and can hardly restrain themselves. Those representing the left I did not hear so well, but I gathered that they are very subtle choirs, and I could not make out what they were saying.
3956. CONCERNING THOSE WHO REPRESENT THE EAR.
There are some who represent the external, and some [who represent] the internal ear. Among them, those who represent the right internal ear were often heard. They are much inclined to speak, and can scarcely desist. Those [who represent] the left, I did not thus hear, but I heard that they were choirs of a more subtle genius, though I could not perceive what they said.
3956. De iis qui aurem referunt
Sunt qui aurem externam referunt, et sunt qui internam, qui interiorem, inter eos qui referunt interiorem aurem dextram saepe auditi, volunt loqui, et vix desistunt, qui sinistram non ita audivi, sed audivi quod sint chori subtiliores, quos non potui percipere, quid dicerent.
