That this is the case is shown also by the fact that it can never be known in the outermost regions what is going on in the inward, much less in the innermost ones - as, for example, that angelic mental imagery is portrayed in the world of spirits by such things as animals; the mental imagery of evil spirits by twistings of the body, and appearances of that kind.

That all this is so appears likewise from the fact, that it can never be known in ultimates how things are in interiors, much less in intimates, causing angelic ideas to be represented by animals and such like things, in the world of spirits; the ideas of evil spirits by circumflections of the body, and other things of the sort which there appear.
