5109. However, it happens in a different way with the deceitful, because they think on a higher level or more inwardly than others. It is said that these are purged by being let down into deeper places and then by being lifted back up. But this is not yet known to me from experience.
5109. The deceitful, however, [are vastated] differently; for these have thought more deeply, or interiorly, than others. It was said that these are vastated by being let down to deeper places, and by elevation [therefrom]; but this has not yet been made known to me.
