Spiritual Experiences (Odhner and Nemitz translation 1998) 5551

5551. These levels are entirely distinct from each other. But I doubt whether the learned of the world can grasp this, because the mental image most of them have of the outward and inward things in a human being is that of a continuum from gross to refined without any other distinction.

Spiritual Experiences (Buss translation 1902) 5551

5551. These degrees are altogether distinct for each other; but I doubt whether the learned of the world can take this in, for the reason that, for the most part, they have the idea, about externals and internals with man, of continuity from gross to subtle, without any other distinction.

Experientiae Spirituales 5551 (original Latin 1748-1764)

5551. Gradus hi inter se prorsus distincti sunt, sed num orbis eruditus haec capere possit, ambigo, ex causa quia plerique de externis et internis apud hominem habent ideam continui a crasso ad subtile absque distinctione alia.
