5793. What it is to live as Christians. It is not difficult to live in the heavenly doctrine, and it is so in the destroyed Babylon
Two things are required:
1) to believe in the Lord, that is, that all goodness and truth comes from Him;
2) that a person lives an honest life, in such a manner that one flees from outward evils, which are also contrary to those civil laws.
5793. WHAT IT IS TO LIVE AS A CHRISTIAN. THAT IT IS NOT DIFFICULT IN THE HEAVENLY DOCTRINE, AS IT WAS IN BABYLON DESTROYED.
Two things are requisite

Quid sit vivere Christianus, quod non sit difficile in doctrina coelesti, et in Babylonia destructa
Duo requisita sunt,
1) credere in Dominum, hoc est, credere quod ab Ipso sit omne bonum et verum,
2) ut vivat sincerus, ita ut fugiat externa mala, quae etiam contra leges civiles.
