Around spirits, particularly around angels, there are not only fields of energy or power, which are the movements of substances like those that occur in the physical body, but there are also fields of all kinds of feelings, both spiritual and heavenly. These fields also change, in exact response to changes in their state of mind; yet all states go back to their one, own proper state.
973. CONCERNING THE SPHERES OF THE ACTIVITY OF SPIRITS AND ANGELS
Around spirits, and especially around angels, there are not only spheres of activity, or of forces, which, as in corporeal things, are the modifications of substances, but there are also spheres of all affections both spiritual and celestial. Moreover, these spheres are changed exactly according to their changes of state; but, still, all states refer themselves to that one which is their proper state.

Non modo dantur sphaerae activitatis, seu viriumm quae sunt modificationes substantiarum, sicut in corporeis, sed etiam omnium affectionum, tam spiritualium quam coelestium, circum spiritus 2
, et circum angelos in specie, quae sphaerae se quoque mutant, prorsus secundum mutationes status eorum, sed omnes status usque se referunt ad unum eorum, qui est eorum proprius.
