118. Let me say in closing what people are like after death if they have attributed everything to their own intelligence and little if anything to the Word. At first they seem to be drunk, then foolish, and finally brainless; and they sit in darkness. So beware of this kind of insanity in yourselves.
118. Finally I will mention what the character of those people becomes after death who ascribe everything to their own intelligence and little if anything to the Word. First they become as though drunk, later as though silly, and finally stupid, and they sit in darkness.
Let people beware, therefore, of such lunacy.
