[NCE]385. Genesis 4:14. "Look, you have thrown me out today, off the face of the ground. And I will be hidden from your face, and I will be a wanderer and fugitive on the earth. And it will come about that anyone who finds me will kill me."
Being thrown off the face of the ground symbolizes being cut off from all the church's truth. Being hidden from your face symbolizes being cut off from all the good inherent in a loving faith. Being a wanderer and fugitive on the earth is not knowing what is true or good. Anyone who finds me will kill me means that all evil and falsity would destroy him.

Potts(1905-1910) 385

385. Verse 14. Behold Thou hast cast me out this day from the faces of the ground, and from Thy faces shall I be hid; and I shall be a fugitive and a wanderer in the earth; and it shall come to pass that everyone that findeth me shall slay me. To be "cast out from the faces of the ground" signifies to be separated from all the truth of the church; to be "hid from Thy faces" signifies to be separated from all the good of faith of love; to be a "fugitive and a wanderer in the earth" is not to know what is true and good; "everyone that findeth me shall slay me" signifies that all evil and falsity would destroy him.

Elliott(1983-1999) 385

385. Verse 14 Behold, You have driven me this day off the facea of the ground; and I shall be hidden from Your face,a and I shall be a wanderer and a fugitive in the land; and everyone finding me might kill me.

'Being driven off the face' of the ground' means being separated from all the truth of the Church. 'Being hidden from Your face'a means being separated from all the good present in faith and flowing from love. 'Being a wanderer and a fugitive in the land' means not knowing what truth and good are. 'Everyone finding him might kill him' means that all evil and falsity would destroy him.

385. Vers. 14. Ecce ejecisti me hodie desuper faciebus humi; et a faciebus Tuis abscondar, et ero vagus et profugus in terra; et erit omnis inveniens me, occidat me. 'Ejici {1} desuper faciebus humi' significat separari ab omni vero Ecclesiae: 'a faciebus Tuis abscondi' significat separari ab omni bono fidei amoris: 'vagus et profugus esse in tetra' est non scire quid verum et bonum: 'quod omnis inveniens occideret' est quod omne malum et falsum perderet. @ 1 Dejici I.$
