Potts(1905-1910) 5257

5257. God shall answer peace to Pharaoh. That this signifies from the Divine Human by conjunction, is evident from what was said just above (n. 5256); and from the signification of the "peace that God shall answer," as being from the Lord's Divine Human. That "God" denotes the Divine is evident without any unfolding, and that "peace" in the supreme sense is the Lord may be seen above (n. 3780, 4681). That this answer comes through conjunction, namely, with the celestial of the spiritual, and thereby with the natural, is because this conjunction is here treated of.

Elliott(1983-1999) 5257

5257. 'God will give you an answer of peace, O Pharaoh' means that the Divine Human was the origin of it, through its being joined to it. This becomes clear from what has been stated immediately above in 5156, and from the meaning of 'peace of which God will give an answer' as the Lord's Divine Human as the origin of it. 'God', as is clear without explanation, means the Divine; while 'peace' in the highest sense means the Lord, see 3780, 4681. The reason it is the origin through its being joined to it - to the celestial of the spiritual, and through this to the natural - is that this joining together is the subject here.

Latin(1748-1756) 5257

@1 i quoque$
