Apocalypse Explained (Tansley translation 1923) 1075

1075. Verse 15. And he saith unto me, The waters which thou sawest, where the whore sitteth, are peoples and multitudes, and nations and tongues.

"And he saith unto me, The waters which thou sawest, where the whore sitteth, are peoples and multitudes, and nations and tongues," signifies the doctrinals from the Papal Consistory, in general, thus all other [doctrinals], that they are falsities and evils interior and exterior.

15. "And he saith unto me, The waters which thou sawest, where the harlot sitteth, are peoples and multitudes and nations and tongues," signifies the doctrinals from the Papal Consistory in general, that is, all the other doctrinals, that they are falsities and evils interior and exterior (n. 1076, 1077).

"Et dicit mihi, Aquae quas vidisti, ubi meretrix sedet, populi et turbae sunt, et gentes et linguae."

15. "Et dicit mihi, Aquae quas vidisti, ubi meretrix sedet, populi et turbae sunt, et gentes et linguae", significat doctrinalia ex Papali Consistorio in genere, ita reliqua, quod sint falsa et mala interiora et exteriora [n. 1076, 1077] .
