1230. 1I am thy fellow-servant, and of thy brethren that have the testimony of Jesus.- That this signifies that he is like men on earth who receive and have received Divine Truth from the Lord is evident from the signification of thy servant, as denoting that he is like John in serving the Lord; from the signification of thy fellow-servant, as denoting that he is like men on earth also in serving the Lord, and from the signification of having the testimony of Jesus, as denoting to receive Divine Truth from the Lord. For testimony when said of the Lord signifies acknowledgment of the Lord's Divine in his Human (as may be seen above, n. 27, 392, 635, 649); also reception of Divine Truth from the Lord, and acknowledgment of Him by means of it (n. 10, 228, 625).

This is evident from the signification of "thy fellow servant," as being that he is like John in serving the Lord; also from the signification of "the fellow servant of his brethren," as being that he is also like men on the earth in serving the Lord; also from the signification of "to have the testimony of Jesus," as being to receive the Divine truth from the Lord, for "testimony," in reference to the Lord, signifies acknowledgment of the Lord's Divine in His Human (See n. 27[1-4], 392, 635, 649). It means also reception of the Divine truth from the Lord, and through Divine truth acknowledgment of the Lord (n. 10, 228, 625).

"Conservus tuus sum, et fratrum tuorum habentium testimonium Jesu." - Quod significet quod similis sit hominibus in terris qui Divinum Verum a Domino recipiunt et receperunt, constat ex significatione "conservi tui", quod sit quod similis sit Johanni in serviendo Domino; ex significatione "conservi fratrum ejus", quod sit quod similis sit hominibus in terris etiam in serviendo Domino; et ex significatione" habere testimonium Jesu", quod sit recipere Divinum Verum a Domino; per "testimonium" enim, cum de Domino, significatur agnitio Divini Domini in Humano Ipsius (ut videatur (supra), n. 27, 392 (b-e), 635, 649); tum quod sit receptio Divini Veri a Domino, et per id agnitio Ipsius (n. 10, 228, 625).
